What are the age divisions
for awards for the Austin 10K Plus?
The Austin 10K Plus will present awards to the top males and females in the following age groups: 18-24. 25-29. 30-34. 35-39. 40-44. 45-49. 50-54. 55 and up. Additionally, there will be awards for team & relay team divisions.
What time will the race start?
The race starts at 8am. Participants need
to arrive by 7:30am.
Do I have to register online?
Yes. We
try to keep the entry fee for the event as low as possible.
Having registration be 100% online allows us to reduce
our costs, thereby keeping the entry fee low. You may
pay online using a credit card, debit card, or check.
Where are the start and finish lines?
Runners will start at the gates of the Dell Diamond,
and finish on the first base side of the stadium.
If I am injured, sick
or otherwise not able to participate in the Austin
10K Plus, can I get my entry fee refunded, transferred
to another individual or rolled over to the next
year?
Registration is non-refundable and cannot
be rolled over to a future race.
Are there any discounts available for the
Austin 10K Plus?
Yes,
sign up before July 20th before the cost goes up!
Are awards based on clock (gun) time or chip time?
All awards are based on CHIP time.
What is the difference between chip time and clock (gun) time?
Clock time is the time it takes from the official
start of the race to when you cross the finish
line. Chip time is the time it takes you to go from the start line
to the finish line, regardless of when you cross the
start line.
How do I find out about race changes due to inclement weather, disaster, etc.?
The Austin 10K Plus will run, rain or shine.
When
and where is the packet pickup?
All participants must come by to get your race packet, which includes your bib, timing chip, t-shirt, and more at Rogue Running (500 San Marcos, Austin 78702) on August 16th between 12-5pm. It is located on the corner of East 5th & San Marcos next to Progress Coffee Shop.
Where do I park on race day?
Free race day parking will be on the east side of the Dell Diamond, located behind the bank.
What if I have never run in an adventure race before?
That’s
okay! The Austin 10K Plus is a great event for
beginners and experienced athletes.
Are there relays?
Yes. Participants have two options for a relay. One is that both runners start and finish the race, and their times are combined. The other is participants split up the race, with each runner completing approximately 3.1 miles of the course.
Is there a Clydesdale or Athena category?
No. There are only the age group divisions.
